It started when I saw this beautiful green blue yarn, and so I bought 6 cakes of it. Each cake weighs 100grams. For my shawl I used 4 cakes.<div>The color really reminds me of the sea so I thought a ripple pattern would be best for it. </div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div><br></div><div>Pattern notes:</div><div>The pattern is a multiple of 16 + 4</div><div>I suggest you do a swatch first to know how many multiples you want to make. Mine is a multiple of 5. </div><div>I am not sure about the size of my yarn, but I used a size 4mm hook. Afterwards I felt that the hook that I used was too small, because the project is lacking of drape. So just use a bigger hook than you usually use for the yarn you are using.</div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

</div>Disclaimer: Picture of pattern taken from pinterest/google. I don't take credit for it. I don't know who to credit. It is freely floating around the internet universe.</div><div><br></div><div>Starting Chain 20</div><div>Row 1: 2dc in 4th chain from hook, 1dc in next 5 stitches, dc decrease over the next 5 stitches, 1dc in next 5 stitches, 3dc in last stitch.</div><div>Row 2: Ch4, dc in the top of the last dc of the previous row. (Ch1, skip 1st, dc in next st)2x. Ch1, dc decrease with 3dc over the next 5 stitches, skipping 1 st in between. (Ch1, skip 1st, dc in next st)2x. Ch1, (dc, ch1, dc) in the last stitch. </div><div>Repeat row 1 and 2 until you think your swatch is big enough.</div><div><br></div><div>After you have decided how many multiples you are going to make, for example 5, we multiply 5 by 16, then add 4. </div><div>5x16+4=84. This will be your starting chain.</div><div>I suggest you do the multiples in increments of 2. It means 5+2=7 or 5+2+2=9, etc.</div><div>This way you can make the pockets centered. I made my pockets with a multiple of 3. Then you have one multiple on either side of the pockets.</div><div>So if you are making a multiple of 7, you can make the pockets with a multiple of 5.</div><div>If you are making with a multiple of 9, you can either make the pockets with a multiple of 5 or 7. Up to you.</div><div><br></div><div>Well then, that's it. Just keep on repeating the 2 rows until you get the length you want. Then just sew on the pockets right on the edge. For my shawl I slip stitched the pockets on.</div><div><br></div><div>I did a few videos on youtube about making this pocket shawl. Feel free to check them out. </div><div>Crocheting Odd Rows of Pocket Shawl</div><div>https://youtu.be/dnPAqZKr2W0</div><div>Crocheting Even Rows of Pocket Shawl</div><div>https://youtu.be/BTJfjBCMdno</div><div><br></div><div>Please ask if you have any questions. Making a crochet hat is so easy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Basically all you have to do is:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
1. Make a flat circle and stop when it is the size you want.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
2. Keep adding rows without increasing until it reaches your ears. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
3. Start increasing again for the brim.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
4. Add embellishment as you like.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hi again! This is another project that I'm rather proud of. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I took the basic pattern from a diagram I found on pinterest. You can just search for 3D Leaf Crochet pattern and you can easily find it. After that I look for a basic oval pattern for the base, did some math, and voila! This is what I come up with.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r9GFIKcJl6w/XmaGnqoaZXI/AAAAAAABTvA/XJ2ubTiLuIkwgcSUPsgYaXt9AxV15FZSACNcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG-20200111-WA0014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1280" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-r9GFIKcJl6w/XmaGnqoaZXI/AAAAAAABTvA/XJ2ubTiLuIkwgcSUPsgYaXt9AxV15FZSACNcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG-20200111-WA0014.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used some leftover yarn so I ran out, and changed to another color. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
What I like about this pattern is that it creates a solid fabric, no holes. Means I don't have to line it with another fabric. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mNOZfByifus/XmaGZ_md0DI/AAAAAAABTvE/8ooDZGCWsuIIopZHEaQaIdR0-nlWWTc8QCEwYBhgL/s1600/PhotoGrid_1580654506647.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mNOZfByifus/XmaGZ_md0DI/AAAAAAABTvE/8ooDZGCWsuIIopZHEaQaIdR0-nlWWTc8QCEwYBhgL/s320/PhotoGrid_1580654506647.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This is the second pouch that I made. I changed the pattern, it has more leaves and the leaves are closer together. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I don't know if I should post a pattern based on someone else's pattern which I also don't know who it belongs to. And anyway I only wrote them down as a rough sketch. So if you also want to make these pouches, do the math. Or you can contact me for pointers.</div>

Hi again, so the other day I was looking at my daughter's leggings and I thought, wow, she outgrow her pants so fast. Then I had an idea, what if I added to the bottom of it so that it has more length, and she can wear them for longer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Turns out what I made was not stretchy enough. I didn't think that it won't fit her calves. A lesson for next time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Since she won't be able to wear the leggings with the crocheted piece, I took it off and made them into sleeves instead. </div>

Hi all, so I've recently restarted my crocheting hobby and made a lot of stuff in a short span of time. I've been sharing my work in some facebook groups but I found their rules are rather stifling. I still had some great responses though. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway I suddenly remembered that I have a blog. It is my own blog so I can write whatever I want right...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Well, I am going to slowly upload the recent projects I made, starting with this nostalgic Hair Scrunchies, as they were some of the first things I made back when I just started learning crochet.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-upCqr2iGOu4/Xl6R-yvJW8I/AAAAAAABTUA/dsT-K5jzRsAhFzZvJ67gJqnV9K_5CkScgCKgBGAsYHg/s1600/PhotoGrid_1582386346030.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-upCqr2iGOu4/Xl6R-yvJW8I/AAAAAAABTUA/dsT-K5jzRsAhFzZvJ67gJqnV9K_5CkScgCKgBGAsYHg/s320/PhotoGrid_1582386346030.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8PKggRYDnpU/Xl6R--1WwNI/AAAAAAABTUA/vPp98PkFGToPDOPNy69uT958aklmX1KsgCKgBGAsYHg/s1600/PhotoGrid_1582385851051.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8PKggRYDnpU/Xl6R--1WwNI/AAAAAAABTUA/vPp98PkFGToPDOPNy69uT958aklmX1KsgCKgBGAsYHg/s320/PhotoGrid_1582385851051.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Very easy to make. For these I just did one row of dc, join with slip stitch, ch1, (sc,ch 5) all the way around.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
TTFN, XOXO</div>

Hi people, it's been a while since a posted anything new. I've been busy with my online shops. Yup that's right, plural. There are many marketplace apps available in Indonesia and they are all free to use. Right now I have three accounts that I use, Tokopedia, Shopee, Bukalapak. Why so many do you ask? Because they all have different promotions at different times. Sometimes they give discounts, sometimes free shipping, sometimes cashback. So the customer can pick and choose which app gives them the biggest benefit. A lot of Indonesians have at least one account on many marketplace applications. Some even have a lot of accounts in one app. This is actually not allowed but people do that anyway.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Well, I still do a little bit of crocheting but just once in a while. Haven't finished any projects recently. I also have been gardening a lot and exploring a new hobby with chains. I've also been learning chainmaille. Have not been following my own advice of choosing one thing and be really good at it. Being a Jill of some trades is making me an expert of none.</div>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway, if you want to see what I have been making, you can see my instagram '<a href="http://instagram.com/yubikincollections" target="_blank">yubikincollections</a>'.</div>
</div>
<div>
That's it for now. Write me some questions!</div>

Hari ini mau sharing tentang pot susun yg baru dibeli.<br />
Ada lubang di tengah nya yg mana buat rantai panjang supaya bisa digantung, tapi berhubung gak mau digantung jd rantainya dilepas. Saya biasanya pakai cocopeat sama sekam bakar jd supaya media tanam nya enggak lari lewat lubang, jd ditambal pakai kain flanel sama rockwool.<br />

This time I just want to share with you my DIY Recycled seedling container. I used a toilet paper roll core, a plastic cup and a wooden ice cream stick as a plant label.</div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
Using a toilet paper core is great for those plants with weak and slim roots, so you simply plant it together with the container into the ground, no need to take the seedling out.</div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
It's pretty straightforward so I'm just going to share a picture.</div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
Kali ini saya akan membagikan ide saya untuk membuat sendiri tempat untuk menanam biji dari barang bekas yaitu karton tissue roll, gelas cup plastik dan stik es krim kayu.</div>
<div style="text-align: start;">
<div style="text-align: start;">

Gardening. At first I was attracted to hydroponic vegetables, but I found that my house has a bad environment for it, and I had some trouble with pests so it has been put on hold for now. Then I learned about companion planting, and so I have diverted my attention to planting flowers. In the meantime I will continue to learn and experiment with hydroponics. Step by step I will share with you what I learned from the past few months.</p>
<p dir="ltr">This is my current favourite flowers. Torenia Kauai.</p>

It's been a long time since I updated this blog. Been very busy with my new shop and all... <br />Anyway, I just had a new niece last week and I wanted to make her a baby glove, so I looked for a pattern. The one I got turns out to be too big for my yarn and hook so I modified it. <br />Well, I'm sure it's a very common pattern that you can get anywhere but I'm just gonna write it here anyway, even if only for my own notes.<br /><br />Start with magic circle<br />Row 1: ch 3, dc 15 times (total 16), join with sl st<br />Row 2: ch 3, 2dc in every stitch, join<br />Row 3: ch 3, *2dc, dc* rep around, join<br />Row 4 : ch 3, dc around, join (if yours is not big enough, do another increase with *2dc, dc, dc*)<br />Row 5 - 10 : ch 3, dc around, join<br />Row 11 : ch 3, *dc decrease, dc* around, join<br />Row 12 - 13 : ch 1, sc around, join<br />Row 14 : *sc, sk 2, ch 3* around, join<br />Row 15 : sl st to first sp, ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2dc, *2dc, ch2, 2dc* in each sp around, join<br /><br />Finish! Add a ribbon to the space so that you can tie it up, or else it'll fall off too easily.<br /><br />Photos to follow! Don't have any yet... See ya next time!<br /></div>Melisa Sriwulandarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06457061128110119860noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759673687749303425.post-14105312031094454912010-06-10T08:14:00.003+07:002010-06-10T08:23:43.366+07:00Adopt an OrangUtan<div style="text-align: justify;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4041/4682194206_4aafb5ffc1_m.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 175px;" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4041/4682194206_4aafb5ffc1_m.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>So.... After all this time I'm absent from the blogging world, today I'm back especially for this noble cause... It's a weird time to be posting such a theme of color at this time of year.<br />But I'm sure you'll all agree that it really looks warm, and it makes me happy just looking at it.<br /><br />It's very simple to make, just chains and sc and just keep increasing at the sides till the size wanted. As for this one, I stopped when I ran out of yarn. Yup, this eye candy only took one ball of yarn. Sweet!<br /><br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/BrlOc4-Ikgucw7fOxF4YHA?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/SzsR-xP4gVI/AAAAAAAAEic/Y6FHwJCr8nM/s400/DSC09502.JPG" /></a><br /><br />Not sure about what occasions I can wear it at though, I don't go places much.<br /></div>Melisa Sriwulandarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06457061128110119860noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759673687749303425.post-83122315505867665912009-12-30T15:00:00.002+07:002009-12-30T15:54:17.015+07:00Neverending Scarf<div style="text-align: justify;">I know... It's been forever since I last post here in the blog. It's just that with Facebook around, it is easier to share photos over there.<br /><br />Anyway, for those of you who are so nice to still see my blog after all, here's the scarf that I've been knitting for over a year (or maybe almost two). Simple rib with k1, p1; using two yarn held together, one red and one green. I was thinking of apples when I chose those two colors. Can't really see it well in this photo though...<br /><br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/ahGyIwLynL7f16nI689LOQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/SzsSIArnl9I/AAAAAAAAEig/Muf0Grn3-O0/s400/DSC09918.JPG" /></a><br /><br />Length: 1,7 meters.<br /><br /></div>Melisa Sriwulandarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06457061128110119860noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759673687749303425.post-62104468541090746022009-09-07T23:35:00.000+07:002009-09-07T23:38:18.402+07:00Obsession<div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/5iKixOH_wmmuwW8gYiDULg?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/SpzkeEFu3CI/AAAAAAAAD1M/E0PEej6NEu8/s800/DSC07582.JPG" /></a><br /><br />So I have this obsession of crocheting/knitting using other materials other than yarn. I've tried <a href="http://melisasriwulandari.blogspot.com/2008/04/plastic-crocheted-coaster.html">plarn</a> (not quite successful), and <a href="http://melisasriwulandari.blogspot.com/2009/01/crocheting-gajih.html">plant fiber</a> (not quite successful too). And this time, I used a colourful rope to create this bag... (success... finally).<br /><br />At first I tried to crochet it using a big hook, but turns out, even though it feels limp to the touch, the rope is really very hard to crochet and it hurts the fingers very much. (Or maybe I forgot to try my biggest hook.)<br /><br />Anyway, in the end I frogged the crocheted bag when I finally received my huge knitting needles. I used 12mm needles for this bag. Sooooo easy and fun, it was a breeze!<br /><br /><b>Lesson: When it's too hard to crochet, knit it.</b><br /><br />All in all, it was a satisfying finish. Hooray!!!<br /></div>Melisa Sriwulandarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06457061128110119860noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759673687749303425.post-54415725086245019362009-09-04T01:39:00.000+07:002009-09-04T18:06:56.183+07:00Back to Old Obsession<div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/t8WaqGmjBYnfhhHBB5L2OQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/Spu4TUB6v4I/AAAAAAAADz8/DZ9AP6efmW0/s400/DSC07560.JPG" /></a><br /><br />A hyperbolic flower brooch, or can also be used as a pendant...<br /><br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Q_Rt2SKPsxnf1bWqHOq7WA?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/Spu4JZV3OmI/AAAAAAAADz4/h4LTRwYM1-Y/s400/DSC07545.JPG" /></a><br /><br />Hyperbolic Necklace!<br />So easy yet so beautiful... And elegant? :D<br /></div>Melisa Sriwulandarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06457061128110119860noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759673687749303425.post-3419619984621601722009-09-04T01:34:00.003+07:002009-09-04T02:08:48.334+07:00Another Pencil Case and Necklace<div style="text-align: justify;">This is the latest pencil case I made...<br />Simple wave pattern...<br />Finally got to use these two colors that I've been wanting to make something with but no idea what. Turns out they look great together, especially contrasted with the black.<br /><br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/0_sUCIpuWU7KVNRAI-2CAQ?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/SqAT6ILAWqI/AAAAAAAAD4Q/eB1_nIXhOro/s400/DSC07532.JPG" /></a><br /><br />And this is just the same pattern as <a href="http://melisasriwulandari.blogspot.com/2009/08/crocheted-bead-necklace.html">the previous necklace</a>, just different colors...<br /><br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/zvF4mRJpd2O1EtOfnmQFFg?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/Spu4eFpAKJI/AAAAAAAAD0A/iEmvJWKj5nA/s400/DSC07567.JPG" /></a><br /><br />Nice?<br /></div>Melisa Sriwulandarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06457061128110119860noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2759673687749303425.post-90343169651646322982009-09-02T19:45:00.000+07:002009-09-02T20:42:08.366+07:00Diamond Case<div style="text-align: justify;">Don't you just love hdc's?<br />I love how they look like diamonds... Though in this photo you can't really see them...<br /><br /><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/1dpWeloJ5BkyMN0cDHytAw?authkey=Gv1sRgCO_-96GvhO3vqQE&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_wN28lS1NKXI/Sn5yNxbK-PI/AAAAAAAADpI/CQgTlU5mwBg/s400/DSC06947.JPG" /></a><br /><br />It still feels kind of incomplete though... Needs a strap or something... But still can't decide whether to make it a sling or a short strap from one side...<br /></div>Melisa Sriwulandarihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06457061128110119860noreply@blogger.com0
