Love your turtles, I am trying to redocorate and incorporate some feng shui into my house, it calls for a black tortise at place where the energy exits. I keep thinking of that when I see your turtle.

Wow, your turtles are so neat, and I see the babies...oooh, so very cute! When I was younger I always had turtles and they were fun to play with. Knitting dragonfly, I have never heard that turtles help with feng shui, I am learning something new everyday! Actually, they are also very pretty turtles too! :-)

Skye b, the small turtles are not the babies. Well, not the babies of the big ones anyway. They were all bought. The two big ones were bought around 10 years ago, and the other 4 were quite new, only about 2 years ago.
Knitting dragonfly, believe me, turtles are the best pets in the world. They don't need extra care, no hassle, not asking for anything much, simply content to bask in the sun and sit quietly all day long.

Hi Melissa,
Ohhh, they aren't babies, okay, so they are just small. I guess you can see how much I know about turtles, LOL! :-) However, I love the pictures of them, and they are so adorable. It makes me want a turtle, or maybe a couple. They sound like fun, and like you said not too much maintenance.

Although, how do you think my dog would be around them, other than curious? Would she try to hurt them, or do you know? Another question, are turtles expensive?

They are interesting little creatures, although some are not so little. I have seen turtles in the wild, like walking across the street or something, and they are sometimes huge. I guess different kinds grow to different sizes.
Thanks for sharing your pictures with us. (You will have to tell me all about the care of turtles.)

Hi Skye, I don't know how much one of them costs over there but I think it depends on what kind of turtles you want. Mine are Red-eared Sliders. The babies are usually about 2 inches or less, but as far as I know, some countries ban the sale of those until they're a certain size (about 3/4 inches maybe). And they grow to about
10/11 inches I think. (Depends on the diet/environment/confinement, they might even stay small).
As for your dog, I don't think it'll be a problem. It's small, and it looks sweet on the photo.

Hi Melisa,
I forgot that you lived in a different Country than me, lol! I should have known you wouldn't know the answer to that. I guess I would just have to check, and yes, I have heard there are certain laws here in the US about buying turtles.

Thanks for explaining that though, even if you don't know. :-) Why would you know your not from here.

My pup thanks you for the compliment! :-) She is very sweet!

Oh, I am still looking for that link for you, I thought I had written it down, but I didn't, so need to search for it. I will look really good later today, and then send you that link. Actually, there are many links to those with cats in them, so will find you a few.

Hi again Skye,
Well, I did some research about turtles when I bought them last time, that's why I can answer your question in part, and well, I'm not really an expert, but you can ask me about some turtle care if you want to.
Thanks for taking the trouble to find the link to the video btw. Really appreciate it!

Hi Melisa,
Well as soon as I get a turtle, your the person I will come to for any advice I have, which I sure I will need...LOL! I AM going to be looking into that too!

Oh, my day was so horrible yesterday, that I wasn't able to get those links yet, but I will, don't worry. :-) What makes me curious is why that doesn't work for you off my page.

Well Skye, I share the same internet connection with scores other people in the office. Maybe that's why.
