So here is another keychain made using rows of sc and cross-stitched.
The difference is, I crocheted the even rows backwards after I turned the work instead of reattaching the yarn to the beginning of every new row like I used to do. Thank you to the wonderful method of fillet crochet.
This is the second time I did this method, the first one was the bracelet at the previous post. At the beginning it was hard to do, but after this second one, I think I've got the hang of it.
I like making keychains like this, mostly because I feel that people really needs a practical keychain that you can tuck in your pocket without it bulging your pocket too much and digging into your thighs when you sit down.
Hmm, I don't know why I like to combine purple and yellow together. I think it's because I had a purple shirt with a yellow collar once. Since then, I always think that purple belongs with yellow.
Do you think it's a weird colour combination?
Another one of my favourite colour combination is blue and orange. I do like clashing colours, and my colour sense is rather whacko, but I hope you like the things I've made!

Hyperbolic Curlies
And in case you're wondering where I've been, I've been on an internet diet. I realize that once I connected, I can't tear my eyes away from the screen, so I better not turn the comp on at all, so that I can be more productive.
Are they cute or what???
I like them so much, they're so versatile, can be used for so many things.
For example, earrings, knitting stitch markers, cell phone charms, or simply ordinary key chains.
Any more ideas?
As for now, I have 9 colours.
As you can see, I can even add a bell to it.
This is the current knitting project that I have on my needles. Only a few rows done. I accidentally left my pattern book in my boyfriend's bag.
Really, having these cute things on my knitting needles will make me feel happy just looking at them. They're so lightweight too, can barely feel them.
Do you like them?
It's silly love, but they can always lift my heart.

Hearts = Love

I made this for myself a long time ago. I basically love anything with wings, and what's better than a heart with wings?
It is a brooch btw, a really big brooch.

Obviously, 'M' is for Melisa.

And at the flip side is 'R' for Roy, my boyfriend's name.
I made this a while after we got together. And here we are, one and a half years later, still madly in love. lol
And how can I not be? He is so supportive of everything I want to do, especially about my craft-making. And he's always there for me. I pray that we can be together for the rest of our lives. Amen.

Update on Me

I can't believe it! Someone actually liked my doodle boy and asked me to make one for him!
I told him the red one is not for sale aka my personal collection so I made him a blue one!
Here's a picture of them together:

Well, they're not exactly the same but I like them both!
For the blue one I sewed the eyes on because it's going to be used. The red one is just going to sit on my table.

My Dolphin is going off as a Gift!
Hooray! Somebody actually ordered a dolphin keychain from me to be given as a birthday gift.

I even got a chance to put in my self-made printed name card! (Finally! lol)

This dolphin is made from felt/flanel. My attempt to use whip stitch on this was a nightmare! So I redid everything and used good old blanket stitch instead. Only two possible reasons: (1) I really need more practice on doing whip stitch or (2) whip stitch is not suitable for something with so many twists and turns.

Don't worry, yours are not forgotten:

Go on... You know you want it...
It's glow in the dark icing!
Sorry people, I tried to take a picture of the glow in the dark icing but to no avail. The camera just can't do it. The glow is too faint to be able to be captured, and fades too fast too.
This is the closest I can get with minimum light:
(I love how the hole is exactly the same size as my laptop power button. Do you?)
Now I Can Bring My Pet Turtle Everywhere!
These are some pictures of the turtle I made from felt/flanel:

You have to agree that it's too cute to behold.
Tutorial No. 1: Attaching Ribbon For Keychain
First, we have the cute thing we want to attach the ribbon to.
The ribbon too of course. And don't forget to plug in your glue gun.
Pertama, siapkan kreasi yang mau ditempelin pita, pitanya, dan lem tembak.

Second, I put a dab of glue using my glue gun.
Dua, beri sedikit lem di tempat yg sesuai...
Attach the ribbon and press it flat.
Tempel salah satu ujung pita dan tekan dengan jari.
Put another dab of glue.
Beri sedikit lem lagi di atasnya.
Close the ribbon. Press it flat again.
Tempel ujung pita yang satu lagi dan tekan dengan jari.
Another dab of glue.
Beri sedikit lem lagi...
The important part: Press the still hot glue with your thumb.
(Not too hot that it'll hurt your finger, but not too cool that it can't be shaped anymore.)
Bagian yang paling penting: tekan dengan jempol ketika masih sedikit panas.

We want to press the glue so that it'll have a clean look, compared to what it will looks like otherwise.
Perlu ditekan dengan jari supaya hasil akhirnya bersih dan rapi.
Terakhir, tambahkan gantungan kunci dan selesai!

Another Accomplishment of Mine

Quite proud of this one. Made by request. By the person of the same name, of course. Don't think I'll ever use the same font again though, except maybe as appliqué. Too thin in some places.
