Colourful Pencil Case

My friend Ika from VanillaVain.blogspot.com asked for a colourful pencil case with red as the dominant colour.

So here is what I came up with.
Hopefully she'll like it!

Which side do you like better?

This is how the inside looks like. Fellow crocheters, I'm sure you know what kind of hell I went through, tucking in all the yarn ends. Took me a whole night to do it. In the end it doesn't look so bad isn't it?

Thing is, I don't know how to do the lining. Yet.
Don't think it'll be anytime soon though...

Using the yarn with multi colors will be easier than changing colors each time. Or if the sequence of changing color is consistent you could bring the yarn inside than cut it off each time. It will make the pencil case more sturdy too. Just an idea in case you will have the same order next time so it could give you less pain in weaving the yarn :)

Hi Risna,
You see, the problem is that currently I don't have any yarn that is multi coloured like this. Also especially since she asked for something dominantly red.
The sequence is not consistent too.. I simply use a bit of every colour of yarn that I have, picking whichever I want from the pile. Other than the reds, all the other colours appeared maximum 2 times only.
I can definitely do it tapestry style if I'm doing a consistent pattern though. Thanks for the input!
